well, just got back from the dr...and the cyst is gone! on the right ovary that is...the left is another story. yep, i have one there now...about as big as the last one, but i don't have all the details yet. soooo...this cycle is over before it starts!
it appears i am going to be a regulary "cysty" gal so the nurse coordinator believes dr. p will have me start bcp's (birth control pills) to suppress the "cyst making hormone" and we'll reevaluate again next month.
i wasn't too shocked going into the appointment today and finding this out as i have had some twinges on my left side and suspected this would be the case. just hearing the words bcp is making me nuts though knowing that you take these things to prevent pregnancy...it's just hard to grasp that this will help me to be able to move forward and potentially become pregnant.
i'll update more when i hear back from the nurse coordinator after she speaks with the dr. this afternoon.

Oh Christy...I am so sorry to hear about those pesky cysts!!
ReplyDeleteI know it's tough thinking about taking BCP's to help but if they make the cysts go away then it's worth it. It's just one more step towards the big prize!
Just think...how cool would it be to have a 2010 baby?? You will have one from 2005 and one in 2010. I think that's really neat!
