update:
re's office called...the cyst is producing hormones. my estrogen was 165 and very high which means my fsh level of 5.5 is pretty inaccurate as the estrogen "turns off" the fsh and results in an inaccurate reading.

because the fsh was inaccurate this time around, dr. p wants me to hold off on starting the bcp's as that would also give an inaccurate fsh reading next month and he really wants to know what that level is.

in other news...apparently during my u/s there were "white area" visible in my uterus, and since we're sitting out this month anyway, dr. p has ordered a sonohysterogram for thursday to see if they are polyps/growths or scar tissue from the dc+e, either of which would cause issues with implantation should we manage to get pregnant again. apparently this will only take about 5 minutes and i'll just have some cramping afterwards.

they also want me to back down my dosage of my friend to 1/2 a tablet again and then go off completely. they said although it's a category c drug and there is not a huge risk of fetal defects like there are with other drugs (such as paxil - fetal heart and lunch defects), they said it's a "safe drug" because there just isn't enough proof that it does/doesn't cause issues yet. they feel (and i agree) that unless i really, really need to be on it, it's best not to while trying to conceive. we are going to back down to 1/2 a tablet starting tomorrow and will slowly go off altogether, unless i begin to have trouble and need to remain on it, which they will support me if i need to.
