not likely...
woo hoo - it's january 2009, i got my first monthly visitor of the year...time to call the fertility coordinator and get this ball rolling again.
i have to say one thing. these re's/fertility coordinators don't mess around...imagine my surprise when i called the office on monday 1.12 to report it was day 1 of my monthly cycle and how soon could i get in to get started (expecting a week or so) to find out i would be going in a 7:45 a.m. for a baseline ultrasound and meeting with the coordinator to get the meds ordered. we're off.
with tony in the car with john headed to "school", i headed to wyomissing for my appointment. another note: there was no waiting. i was in and out of that office in 1/2 hour. although, i expect it would have taken just a little longer had it gone well.
my baseline ultrasound showed a 43 mm cyst on my ovary...cycle #1.5 would have to be called off.
although my bloodwork came back fine (my fsh hadn't risen much/at all since september - yeah and my estradio level was fine too), they can't begin injectibles until the cyst is gone, or had shrunk to 20-25 mm in size.
so what's next you ask? more waiting. yep...we're out for another month.
i'm to call in next month on day 1 of my cycle for another baseline u/s. if the cyst isn't gone/didn't shrink, i will go on birth control pills for that month (ironic right...they actually have you go on these things when you're trying to have a baby-cruel, cruel joke) to try to suppress the hormones and shrink the cyst...yet another cycle would be bust...and more waiting.
then after that, i would call day 1 again, go in for another bs u/s and if it still wasn't gone/hadn't change...then i get a fun laperoscopy to remove it (through my belly button)...and it's another month lost and more waiting.
so that's where we stand...i am getting quite good at being a patient...i just wish i were better at being patient!
