i remember the excitement as i turned 21 (many, many, years ago). i have that same giddiness in me today that i felt back then. for some reason, hitting 21 weeks today is a big deal in my eyes...i'm not half-way anymore...i'm over the half-way point now! only 19 weeks to go.
ok, so 19 weeks is still, like, forever away, but it's still fun to know that i've been pregnant longer than i have to go anymore. ok, so, given my track record with anthony being 6 days late...i'm sure that i will probably be pregnant longer than 19 more weeks...but let's not get caught up on technicalities.
as for the pressure i was experiencing the other day...it's gone. the pain in my groin and lady parts area is gone too. it was weird. i got home tuesday night and just basically collapsed in bed. did some yoga stretches while lying on my back and that seemed to help. still didn't sleep great, so i decided to work from home on wednesday and i did so...from my bed. i literally self-imposed bed rest on myself and only got up to use the bathroom...or to tromp to the kitchen (which was sadly empty...i'll need to plan stay-home-days a little better next time and stock up on some yumminess).
i never did call the dr. had it have persisted through to wednesday with the intensity that it was hitting tuesday, or had i had difficulty picking up the vin-ster on the doppler, i definitely would have...but the pain subsided and little vinnie's heart was pounding away status quo.
i'm going to forgo the weekly "questionnaire" as there really hasn't been much difference from last week to this week (sans what i've mentioned above and in the previous post). you many now all breathe a sigh of relief.

in other very important topics...september is pcos ( polycystic ovarian syndrome) awareness month. this disease affects approx 1 in 40 women and is a major cause of infertility, both primary and secondary. the teal ribbon is worn for pcos.
while i was never officially diagnosed with pcos, many of the symptoms i experienced each month that we weren't able to go ahead with treatments mimicked pcos. i also have several friends who have struggled with it and have since been succesful in getting pregnant...but i have several others who are still struggling and dealing with this issue and haven't been successful in achieving their goal of getting pregnant yet.
1 in 40 is a huge statistic so the probability that you know someone with it is equally as huge. just think about it.

I just sighed out of relief. I read the last post and kept checking back to see if there were any updates. Glad all is well! I asked John yesterday how you were doing. Didn't realize that Sept is PCOS month. Good to know. Was just diagnosed last month with it. Going to do the glucose tolerance test in the next month. Dr. Payer has been an angel with educating me and it remains a mystery to her why I have it. I'd like to trade this body in for a healthier model - I'm sure you have felt the same way. Anyway, have a great weekend and stay well! Good thoughts heading your way. -T.
